ZitCong Inc. is a multinational company in Taiwan that concentrate on second-hand marketing vehicles from South Korea, Europe, and Japan. Its primary mission is to offer conveniences and transportation needs to the riding population. As incoming CEO, I identified accidents as the central problem of ZitCong Inc. The data provided indicated that the company vehicle's got involved in accidents every year between 1997 to 2006, leading to loss of lives. For example, a stock clerk named Alilea Jao was pinned by the company truck, causing his death in 1998. Research further indicated that the company sold 18 vehicles in 2002. As per the case study, the company experienced frequent fire accidents, which caused deaths and permanent disability among employees. Thus, accidents are the main problems in ZitCong ltd, calling for proper interventions.
 
The fire and vehicle accidents in ZitCong ltd result from various factors. For instance, the mechanical breakdown was the company's main cause of vehicle accidents. From the case study, most of the accidents caused by ZitCong company vehicles were break failures. If the vehicles' breaks are faulty, drivers will get it challenging to control them, leading to accidents due to poor brake functioning (Prnka et al., 2014). Also, communication breakdown is the other cause of accidents in the company. Poor communication will impede coordination leading to accidents. For example, insufficient communication between the inventory clerk and truck hauler driver caused pinning, which led to staff death. Poor labor practices were the other causes of vehicle accidents in ZitCong ltd. Because one driver cited poor overtime pay, low remuneration, and overwork as the main causes of accidents, they lower drivers' morale. At the same time, fire accidents in the company resulted from faults in electric wiring. This is because improper wiring causes short circuits, leading to fire outbreaks and loss of life and property (Shokouhi et al., 2019). Also, illegal pilling of unfit used crude oil is the other cause of fire accidents in ZitCong ltd. Because crude oil is flammable, it catches fire quickly, amounting to accidents. Also, insufficient firefighting equipment is the main reason for the increased effects of fire accidents in the incorporation.
 
As the new CEO, I will implement various interventions to reduce vehicle accidents in ZitCong incorporation. Since mechanical breakdown through break failure was cited as the main cause of accidents in the company, I will install wear resistance and extensive heat dissipation to reduce overheating, lowering accidents (Putra et al., 2021. If the company vehicles are fitted with wear resistance equipment, they are less likely to face break failure, reducing accidents. Open and transparent communication is the other intervention I will implement to minimize casualties in ZitCong. Because clear communication will promote coordination which will lower motor vehicle accidents sold by the company. Finally, I will develop raised remuneration strategies and compensation to improve drivers' morale, increase productivity and reduce accidents in the long run. On the other hand, I will address fire accidents in various ways. For instance, I will commission proper wiring through the organization to reduce short circuits reducing fire accidents. Since electrical accidents are uncertain, I will implement sophisticated firefighting systems to reduce the fire effect in case it arises (Ong and Suleiman, 2015). At the same time, I will design emergency exits to reduce stampedes in the event of a fire outbreak. For example, I identified from the case study that lack of escape routes was the leading cause of injuries in the company; hence, proper escape routes and fighting equipment will help address fire accidents in ZitCong incorporation.
 
Stockpiling unused crude oil is the leading waste identified in ZitCong incorporation, which may give rise to accidents. Since the fuel prices kept fluctuating, the company acquired large quantities of crude oil and kept them in barrels to help address the shortage. An increased stay will cause it to expire, leading to wastage. Pilling of large amounts of unused crude oil will give rise to spillage, which will put company workers' health at stake (Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, 2016). For example, oil spillage may lead to fire accidents and health risks. The other waste identified from the case study is old diesel. Also, this is created through excessive procurement of diesel when prices are down to avoid ever-changing international oil prices. Diesel wastes are produced when diesel fuel is combusted in an engine. The wastes consist of soot, unburned hydrocarbons, and other pollutants reacting with molecules in the air, causing health effects (Bjornstad, 2015). Also, old diesel engines give rise to waste, negatively affecting the environment and people's health and social well-being.
