Response To Peer 1

The peer post 1 discusses on the nursing diagnosis of the sexually transmitted diseases (STD). The peer has properly mentioned about the causes of STD as lack of knowledge about unsafe sex by having more than one sex partners. Apart from this, I like to add more points which are missed by the peer as sexual dysfunction, low self-esteem, anxiety and ineffective healing. As the nursing interventions, the peer mentioned about education on safe sex and performs STD screening frequently (Levy, Gunta, & Edemekong, 2019). The peer has mentioned most important two points which are required to prevent from STD. I have performed an in-depth research in the nursing interventions of STD, and found that education provided to the patient encourage them to do STD screening test before coming in physical touch with each other. If the patient is under the treatment of STD, then they should avoid any sexual activity for almost on week after starting the therapy and should consider testing for HIV (Sieving et al., 2019). The Assessment Findings As Mentioned By The Peer Are Fine, But In My Point Of View Proper Blood Test And Fluid Sample Test Is Also Required To Evaluate Std. The patient should pay attention to the physical signs that can show presence of STD within a person like pain, sores, unusual discharge, painful testicles and itchiness.

Response To Peer 2

The peer post 2 discusses on identifying risks related to STD so that it helps the reader to understand the main causes of STD among people. As the nursing diagnosis, unprotected sex with two partners is a risk for causing STD. I have learned from the post is that diagnosis is required for this diseases by physical examination, blood test and swabbed cultures. The problem is that people who is being infected by STD is having little or any symptoms. I am convinced with the nursing interventions of STD as mentioned by the peer (Nobles et al., 2019). I found that assessment findings mentioned about the engagement in the unprotected sex. There is no birth control and there is not usage of form of protection. I found that not using the protection is causing risk of the infections, and there is also risk of the pregnancy. I found that risk factors that can indicate STD included having unprotected sex, history of STD, forced to engage in the sexual activities and misuse of the alcohol (Huo, Yang, & Xiang, 2020). I found a new idea of getting vaccinated before the sexual exposure is effective way to prevent from STD.
