Agamemnon is regarded as the first three places within the trilogy of Oresteia which gives a proper overview of the homecoming of the king of Mycenae named Agamemnon from the Trojan war (Robbins 2017). It is stated that after the ten years of warfare, the Troy had fallen and the Greece people could lay claim to the victory and wait at home for Agamemnon whereas his queen Clytemnestra was found to be planning for his mother.  The play also highlights in the first part that she deserves his death to average the sacrifice of her daughter Iphigenia (Bakola 2018). The murder is the only path which is left with her from commandeering the crown and lastly being able to publicly embrace Aegisthus who is her long-time lover. The play opens with the character of a watchman who is found to be looking down over the sea and reports that he is lying restlessly in order to receive some sort of signal confirming the victory of the Greeks. The character of the Clytemnestra was introduced to the audience and she was found to declare that the entire city would celebrate and sacrifice with the return of the army (Wofford 2017). The king’s new paramour, Cassandra is also introduced in this part which immediately spawns hatred from the queen named Clytemnestra. Clytemnestra is seen standup ended the dead bodies of Agamemnon and Cassandra. In the next scene the character, Clytemnestra designates the killing in a proper feature to the chorus, presenting no symbol of sorrow or regret. In the next scene, it was observed that Aegisthus, bursts in the place in order to take his place next to her and he also claimed that he planned to murder Agamemnon in order to take revenge for his father and Clytemnestra claimed that she and Aegisthus had all power to re-enter the palace (Rottger 2019).

The second play of the trilogy is the Libation Bearers where the play highlights about the incident where after the murder of Agamemnon, Orestes his son returns to Argos along with his cousins Pylades to meticulous revenge on Clytemnestra which was the order from Apollo for killing Agamemnon. After the arrival, his son named Orestes reunifies with his sister Electra at Agamemnon's grave (their father), while she was brining libations to Agamemnon in an effort to stopover Clytemnestra's wicked thoughts. After sometime it was portraited that after the reunion both Electra and Orestes were found to be influenced by the Chorus and all of them comes up with a proper to kill both Aegisthus and Clytemnestra (Maurice 2017). It was observed that Orestes then proceed to the palace door where he is unpredictably received by Clytemnestra. In his response to her greet pleading which was done, he imagines he is an outsider and tells Clytemnestra that he (Orestes) is departed, causation her to direct for Aegisthus. In the next scene it was observed that Orester failed in entering in to the place where he was found to kill Aegisthus as he was without any kind of protection and guard which is also due to intervention of the chorus in communicating the Clytemnestra’s message. In the next scene, it is clearly reflecting that Clytemnestra is found to enter the room and during that time Orestes feels hesitated to kill her but it was during that time when Pylades reminds him that of Apollo’s order and it is their responsibility to follow the order. The drama then focuses upon Orestes who was the target of the Furies merciless wrath and has no such other freedom to escape from the place (Vidovic 2021).

The last and final play of Oresteia is known as Eumenides where a detail illustration of the various sequential events is highlighted in the trilogy which ends up in the development of the social order or implementation of the proper judicial system in the Athenian society. According to the rule, they persistently pursue Orestes for killing his own mother. However, there in the play it is clearly reflected that with the help of Orestes, Orestes is successful in escaping due to the help from Apollo. The play shows that Orestes is able to seepage them for a short-lived instant even though they are asleep and moved to Athens below the defense of Hermes. Nearsighted the Furies asleep, Clytemnestra's ghost originates to aftermath them up to gain fairness on her son Orestes for murder her. The drama highlights that Orestes pleaded to goodness Athens and a voting was done which highlighted that Orestes will not be killed and the decision was accepted.
